The colt Emirates Park Stud and Sheikh Mohammad bin Al Khalifa paid $4 million for at the recent Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale stepped out at Rosehill for the first time on Tuesday morning.
The John, Michael and Wayne Hawkes-trained son of Fastnet Rock was recently broken in and co-trainer Michael said he took his first day at the racetrack in his stride.
"He’s a lovely mover, very sensible with a good attitude,” Hawkes said. "He came in to go through our system to learn the fundamentals, basically to have a look around.
"He won’t be going through anything strenuous, he’s only in for a short period.
"He’ll go out and then back into the system again, possibly in Melbourne.”
The bay colt is out of the 2003 Oakleigh Plate winner River Dove.
