Samaready's position at the top of Golden Slipper markets could be under threat after punters continue to back All Too Hard following the colt's devastating victory in Saturday's Group II VRC Sires' Produce Stakes at Flemington.
All Too Hard's win made it two from two for the son of Casino Prince and the manner in which he disposed of his rivals resembled that of his famous half-sister, Black Caviar.
"He was $14 after his debut win and there was some money but I think the punters were unsure where he was going,” Centrebet's Neil Evans said.
"His win on Saturday was awesome and despite the trainer [Hawkes Racing] not committing to a Golden Slipper start we reeled his price into $6.
"We've already taken a bet of $1000 at the $6.”
Evans said punters were "waiting to see” if current favourite Samaready could handle a trip to Sydney after a brilliant win in the Group I Blue Diamond Stakes.
"She's a risk at that price because it's hard to get them to peak for two races,” he said.
"Snitzerland has firmed up and she could be the one. She'll settle on the speed and Saturday's win [in the Group III Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes] showed she's getting better with each run.
"Epaulette's win in the [Listed] Black Opal on Sunday hasn't affected his price that much. He's $18 and there's no interest.”
