Valuable colt All Too Hard’s autumn campaign will continue in Sydney after a meeting between trainers Hawkes Racing and the three-year-old’s owners on Tuesday.
All Too Hard beat the older horses in the Group I CF Orr Stakes and Group I Futurity Stakes but Hawkes Racing said an elevated temperature forced Black Caviar’s half-brother out of the Australian Guineas on March 2.
All Too Hard has remained in Melbourne recovering from the problem, which denied him a shot at a third straight Group I win and prompted talk of retiring him earlier than expected. Vinery Stud is likely to stand the rising four-year-old at stud next season.
Vinery Stud led a consortium to buy All Too Hard from cash-strapped Patinack Farm boss Nathan Tinkler late last year.
Hawkes Racing will prepare All Too Hard to make his next appearance in the Group I All Aged Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on April 27.
