Hong Kong-based Australian jockey Darren Beadman will return to Sydney to test a Golden Slipper contender in Saturday week’s Group II Silver Slipper (1100m) at Rosehill.
Beadman will partner the Hawkes Racing-trained Straight Gold in the Sliver Slipper with a view to riding the youngster in the world’s richest two-year-old race in April.
Straight Gold is owned by Hong Kong interests.
