Dao Dao Wins on Slipper Day

Dao Dao capped a fantastic day for Hawkes Racing, by winning the final race of the '09 Golden Slipper carnival. Dao Dao was originally educated by John Hawkes for Asian interests. The horse was exported to Hong Kong for a short time, where he had mixed results. The gelding was moved back to Australia in the hope that Hawkes Racing would realise his full potential.

Shortly after this win, Dao Dao was narrowly beaten in Hong Kong's Champion mile.
