Track Work Riders

Hawkes Racing is a successful Horse Training Partnership comprising of John, Wayne & Michael Hawkes.

Full-time and Part-time opportunities are available at both our Rosehill and Flemington complexes for reliable and experienced Trackwork Riders.

You MUST possess a high-level of riding skills and able to ride young horses right through to older horses, with an emphasis on riding timed gallops and jump outs.

You will be required approximately 18-20 hours per week working from Monday – Saturday approx. 4am until 8am.

Great working conditions are on offer and wages will be competitive, dependent on your level of experience.

You will also be rewarded for working afternoon shifts (2.30pm-4.30pm) as well as strapping horses on Trial/Race Day’s.

Also included with working in NSW is the lucrative 2% Stablehand bonus scheme, paid quarterly.
